We are pleased to announce the addition of Chris Oakton to SPL Control’s engineering team.

Chris has over 20 years of practical experience in the evaluation and design of gas turbine silencing systems, previously working for Cullum Detuners, ATCO Emissions Management, Innova Global and ENtec Solutions.  He graduated from the University of Salford, UK with a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) – Physics with Acoustics degree and has been a member of The Institute of Acoustics since 2001.

Chris’ work history includes acoustic design activities, on-site noise measurements, use of 3D noise mapping software, and scale model testing.  He will be taking on similar responsibilities at SPL Control.

Chris joins Tim Rosenberger P.Eng., as part of the acoustical design group within our engineering department.  Tim has a wealth of experience in gas turbine acoustical design, with a focus on gas turbine exhaust systems, and has been with SPL Control for 13 years.  He has a Master of Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and is a member of SAE International, AISC, ASA CSA-ACA and CWB Association.

SPL Control continues grow, expanding on the ways we can support our clients with their time sensitive and challenging gas turbine acoustic projects.  Let us know how we can help with your next project.
