The combination of thermal growth, high exhaust temperatures and high exhaust velocities make for a challenging environment for gas turbine expansion joints. 

Managing the thermal growth on a hot duct application requires effective use of design analysis and practical experience.  Additionally, correct selection of belt materials as well as fixing and protection of the internal insulation is critical to avoid premature failures.  Finally, our acousticians ensure that potential noise break-out through the expansion joint is properly addressed.
